mlb_standings widget

The MLB standings widget is provided by the baseball package in the led-ticker-plugins monorepo, referenced in config as type = "baseball.standings".

  • To add it to your sign: add led-ticker-baseball to config/requirements-plugins.txt and restart (docker compose restart) — see Plugins for the full flow. It uses MLB’s free StatsAPI, so no API key is required.

The same package also ships the baseball.scores widget, the baseball.roll* rolling-ball sprite transition, and the :baseball.ball: emoji. It’s another example of led-ticker’s plugin system — a way to add widgets, transitions, and emoji that aren’t part of core.
